Works on Water is presented by New Georges with 3LD Art & Technology Center and Urban Water Artists in collaboration with Guerilla Science.

Founded in 1992, New Georges has established its influential, boundary-pushing aesthetic through 44 premiere productions. We are a risk-taker, cultivating a nimble, artist-driven production environment that supports unusual plays by committing to them early in their development and equipping them with processes rooted in strong collaboration; a hub, serving a 200-member artist community and promoting experimentation in The Room, our workspace for women theater artists; and a launchpad, having brought forth an unprecedented generation of theater artists (who are women).  Honors for New Georges, our plays and our people include 3 Obie Awards, the Lilly Award, the Susan Smith Blackburn and Kesselring prizes.  We have been included in annual Top Ten lists at Time Out New York and The New Yorker, in The New York Times’ annual Memorable Theater Moments and New York Magazine’s Approval Matrix.  And the influx of New Georges artists into the field over 25 years has had marked impact on the representation of women nationwide in theater, film, television and arts education.

3-Legged Dog and its home, 3LD Art & Technology Center, located at 80 Greenwich Street, exist to produce original works in theater, performance, dance, media and hybrid forms and to explore the narrative possibilities created by digital technology.

Guerilla Science connects people with science by creating live experiences in unexpected places that spark curiosity and inspire wonder. Based in London and New York, Guerilla Science mixes art, science, design, and play to translate cutting-edge scientific research into unique high-end experiences. Its projects have delighted more than 100,000 people on two continents in festivals, cultural institutions, nightlife venues, public spaces, and branded settings. Guerilla Science collaborators include a wide array of world-class scientists and creative thinkers; its work has been featured in The New Yorker, Wired, Vice, The Guardian, NPR, and more.
