Tending Our Messy Edges: Crip’d Fleets Overflows + Disruptions 2

Join Moira Williams for a second virtual Eco~Somatic movement workshop centering disability justice and the wetlands of Jamaica Bay

ABOUT THIS EVENT

Crip’d Fleets: Overflows + Disruptions Tending Our Messy Edges centers “access intimacy” to ask: “How can the interconnected ecologies between “access intimacy’ and water intimacy inform and shape NYC’s Comprehensive Waterfront Plans into a policy that includes NYC’s Disability communities?” Join artist Moira Wiliams for a virtual eco-somatic movement session centering disability and accessibility to NYC’s waterways Friday, May 21st from 7:30 ~ 9 pm Eastern Time. We will gently move out from our bodies to the virtual wetlands and into the water together as we consider access points and accessibility to the waterways in NYC. Please bring along one of the following: a rock, a twig, bark, a seashell, a feather, a leaf and a glass of water. Please also download an image from the links below and upload one of the images as your virtual background prior to our gathering, thanks!
